Dr. Lu received his undergraduate degree from UC Davis with highest honors in Microbiology with a minor in Music, and then pursued his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed his pediatrics training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Lu has worked in both private practice and academic settings before embarking on a solo practice. At Children's Hospital in Oakland, he was teaching attending in the Urgent Care Clinic, Resident Continuity Clinic, and Southeast Asian Clinic, and later served as a clinical instructor for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. Besides English, he is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese, and he also speaks medical Spanish. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, swimming, jogging and traveling; he has completed two marathons and four half marathons since joining Team In Training in the summer of 2006.

Mary has worked as a medical assistant for over 30 years, and she also brings over 15 years of experience as an office manager and bookkeeper. She recently moved to the coast and loves living and working here.
